Homelessness & Human Trafficking

2,200 children are considered homeless in North Carolina and statistically, 1 out of 3 of them will succumb to a pimp selling them for sex within the first 48 hours of becoming homeless. Human trafficking is a $32 billion dollar industry, (second only to the illicit drug trade), and as long as men will pay for sex with children, more innocent girls and boys will be kidnapped, raped, sodomized, beaten and forced into sexual slavery. Over 3/4 of prostitutes stated that they were 'forced' into that life, and 'forced' to continue in it. North Carolina ranks 8th in the country for this industry, and Charlotte Bus Terminal is a haven for such atrocities perpetrated on innocent kids who are lost. Runaways as young as 10 years old fleeing abusive or neglectful home environments are promised nurturing and shelter from depraved pimps who use their bodies for profit. Once broken, battered and addicted to drugs to numb the pain, these kids give up on life and just accept their hopeless fate, never to enter "the land of the living" as you and I and our children know it to be. HOMELESSNESS...WORKING ON A CURE!
