At last count , there are a little over 2,000 people that are living in the streets or in shelters in the City of Charlotte. Of those, over 670 are families with children; approximately 200 are female victims of domestic violence; and over 400 are veterans that served our country. There is in excess of 4,770 schoolchildren in Charlotte that are either homeless, living in motels, or doubled up with someone that has housing. Now for the good news...for every 100 pies per week that we sell, we can take one of those people out of the Charlotte Homeless Shelter system 'PERMANENTLY '. We provide them with living quarters of their own, 3 meals a day, and a $100 dollar a week stipend. During this time, they are trained to bake the pies that got them out of the shelter in the first place, as well as being trained in a vocation of their choice. As an account of ours, please know that 'YOU' are part of the 'CURE' for homelessness, which can only happen with 'JOBS'. If you are receiving this monthly message as 'a friend of the farm', please spread the word to other potential accounts that can commit to just 'a pie a day', and have them go to our website HERE for all the info they need.

Thanks to you all, Nate
